Job summary

Wirral University Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Security Officer to join the Security Department and provide a responsive security service across Arrowe Park and Clatterbridge Hospital sites on Wirral.

The role requires maintaining a high-visibility security presence to protect patients, visitors and staff, with duties including park management, incident reporting and adherence to Trust policies. Full driving licence and on-the-job training are essential.

Qualifications

• Security experience within a healthcare environment.
• Previous security experience.
• Willingness to undergo ‘on the job’ training and attend specialist courses, including physical intervention training.
• Experience of working with the public in a customer facing role.
• Experience in Physical intervention / Conflict Resolution.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a visible, high-profile security presence to safeguard patients, staff and visitors and protect Trust property across two hospital sites.
• Ensure car parks on hospital grounds are operational and used correctly by visitors and staff.
• Lodge and report all incidents ( aggression, loss of equipment, property damage ) on incident forms for the Security Manager’s attention.
• Possess a current clean driving licence and apply conflict resolution within a healthcare environment.
