Job summary

Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board (BCUHB) is recruiting for a Band 2 Portering role in Wrexham Maelor Hospital and community sites. The post is 22.5 hours per week on a permanent basis, with duties including moving patients and goods, lifting and using mechanical aids where needed, and providing reliable service across hospital sites.

The role offers part-time hours with opportunities to work weekends and bank holidays as required.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar post.
• Good standard of secondary education.
• NVQ level 2 in customer service is required.

Responsibilities

• Respond to requests for movement of patients and goods in a timely manner.
• Lift, transfer, push and pull substantial weight with or without mechanical aids as required.
• Assist with delivery of samples, medicines, meals, linen and mail as part of the team.
