Job summary

Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board (BCUHB) North Wales is recruiting for a part-time Portering Service role at Wrexham Maelor Hospital. The post holder will move patients and goods, using mechanical aids when required, and work as part of a team to ensure a safe, responsive service across the site.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar portering post.
• Good standard of secondary education.
• NVQ level 2 in customer service.
• Availability to work weekends and bank holidays.
• Ability to travel within geographical area.
• Able to cope with distressing situations.
• Team player with good communication.

Responsibilities

• Portering Services provides essential support to all hospital areas.
• Respond to requests for patient and goods movement promptly and safely.
• Use mechanical aids when required and assist with lifting and delivery of goods.
• Work as part of a team to ensure smooth service and respond to emergencies.
• Flexible approach and initiative expected.
