Job summary

Equans invites applications for a Materials Management Assistant based at Worcester’s Worcestershire Royal Hospital. The role involves stock control, timely deliveries, and compliance with safety standards within a busy hospital setting.

You will manage stock, perform top-up orders, and assist in packing and distribution to clinics, while maintaining accurate records and supporting administrative tasks. A GCSE or equivalent and good communication within a team are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience with stock control in a busy environment.
• Ability to produce basic reports and maintain accurate stock records.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Count and manage materials across hospital departments using stock control systems.
• Produce top-up orders and arrange timely transport to wards/departments.
• Check, put away stock and rotate stock; report discrepancies.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations and keep a tidy, safe work area.
• Carry out manual handling of heavy items and transport goods safely.
• Maintain records of materials and support with administrative tasks.
• Assist in picking, packing and distribution of orders to clinics/surgeries.
