Job summary

Bristol NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a motivated Materials Management Assistant (Band 3) to join the busy Procurement and Supply Chain team at Southmead Hospital, Bristol. The role is fixed-term for 18 months, full-time, 37.5 hours per week, helping ensure wards have the right products at the right time.

You will maintain stock levels, raise orders, receive deliveries and support efficient procurement with strong attention to detail and good numerical and IT skills, including Word and Excel.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of supply chains.
• Ability to work on own initiative.
• Good time management and organisation skills.
• Proficient with PC and Microsoft Word/Excel.

Responsibilities

• Maintain agreed stock levels through routine replenishment.
• Generate and process orders using stock control systems.
• Receive, check and unpack deliveries.
• Keep storage areas safe, organized and tidy.
• Build relationships with clinical teams and suppliers.
• Monitor stock availability and resolve supply issues.
