Job summary

Bristol NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a motivated Materials Management Assistant (Band 3) to join the busy Procurement and Supply Chain team. The role ensures wards and departments have the right products at the right time, working across Southmead Hospital and Brunel Building.

Qualifications

• Experience working in stock management or procurement is beneficial.
• Ability to replenish stock and support clinical services.
• Strong attention to detail and organisation in a busy healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining agreed stock levels through routine replenishment activity.
• Generating and processing orders using established stock control systems.
• Receiving, checking and unpacking deliveries in line with procedures.
• Ensuring storage areas are safe, organised and maintained to a high standard.
• Building positive working relationships with clinical teams, support services and external suppliers.
• Monitoring stock availability and resolving supply issues to minimise disruption to patient services.
• Working across a range of departments and locations throughout the Southmead Hospital site.
• Supporting procurement and value-for-money initiatives for the Trust.
• Proactive approach and commitment to reliable service for clinical teams.
