Job summary

NHS Ayrshire & Arran is offering a permanent Maintenance Craftsman (Plumber) position within the Estates Department at Ayrshire Central Hospital. You will join a team delivering hospital and community plumbing services under the Plumbing Supervisor.

Successful applicants will hold City & Guilds Craft Certificate/Level 3 and may benefit from experience in hospital infrastructure, including Legionella controls; on-call duty is expected, and applicants should be within 30 minutes of Ayrshire

Qualifications

• A City & Guilds Craft Certificate/Level 3 Certificate, or equivalent for the trade is essential.
• Experience in building services within a hospital environment including the control of Legionella in hot and cold water systems would be an advantage.
• You will also be required to take part in an on call rota and be able to work at other hospitals within Ayrshire to meet the demands of the service.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of engineering services within a hospital environment and across community premises; report to Plumbing Supervisor.
• Demonstrate versatility with a range of complex plumbing maintenance tasks and communicate effectively with the team.
