East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking a skilled estates maintenance technician to work as part of a small team, taking ownership of planned preventative maintenance, repairs to mechanical and electrical plant, and building services across Trust premises.

You will diagnose faults, read drawings, support commissioning, and respond to urgent issues on site, including hazardous environments, with on-call duties and strict safety compliance.

Qualifications

• Attained a recognised craft certified qualification (e.g. City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3).
• Relevant credited technical qualification.
• Willing to participate in NHS maintenance training programmes.

Responsabilités

• Develop and maintain effective working relationships with managers, colleagues, contractors and trust wide service users.
• Liaise with contractors, utility suppliers and other service users during and out of hours on call.
• Provide operational advisory support to ensure compliance with safety standards and procedures.
• Respond to estates related incidents and liaise with Trust staff to request assistance.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance inspections and commissioning tests.
• Carry out maintenance of complex systems including boilers, heating and water systems.
• Identify and prioritise own workload and participate in performance management records.
