Job summary

Ramsay Health Care UK seeks a skilled Maintenance Engineer at Rivers Hospital in Sawbridgeworth to maintain hospital facilities, ensure safety compliance, and support site operations. You will perform PPM, respond to tasks, and assist with gas and fire safety systems while coordinating with contractors and managing permits.

The role requires post-apprenticeship maintenance experience, plumbing certification, and strong fault-finding abilities.

Qualifications

Nationally recognised certification for plumbing.
Post-apprenticeship maintenance experience.
Multi-skilled (preferably plumbing) with strong fault-finding skills.
Knowledge of Health & Safety legislation, Legionella prevention, and MMS systems.
Excellent communication, organisation, and time management skills.
Willingness to be a team player and work on own initiative.
A full UK driving license is required.

Responsibilities

Deliver Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and respond to reactive tasks within agreed Service Level Agreements in all areas of Hospital maintenance.
Ensure statutory inspections and remedial works are completed on time.
Provide first-line support for medical gases and fire safety systems.
Liaise with contractors, manage permits, and oversee minor repair works.
Support project management and compliance initiatives.
Participate in an on-Call rota for emergency cover
