Job summary

Elysium Healthcare is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to join the team at Farmfield Hospital in Charlwood. You will help keep facilities, equipment and buildings well maintained and safe for residents, staff and visitors, applying your DIY skills and coordinating with contractors on site.

You will participate in regular maintenance checks, assist with repairs, decorating and paperwork, and be part of an on-call rota for emergencies.

Qualifications

• Experience in a maintenance role is required.
• Ability to work as part of a team and independently.
• Ability to follow procedures and training.

Responsibilities

• Maintain service buildings, facilities and equipment to be fit for purpose.
• Utilise DIY skills to ensure safety of residents.
• Carry out regular checks and maintenance and repair as needed.
• Decorate and support upkeep of the buildings.
• Liaise with contractors and manage site on/off-site paperwork and tool checks.
• Participate in on-call rota for emergency maintenance.
