Job summary

Elysium Healthcare’s Thornford Park Hospital in Thatcham is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to help keep the hospital environment safe and well presented. You will support the maintenance of services, buildings, facilities and equipment to ensure they are fit for purpose.

You will work with an established team, gain training, and liaise with contractors to support upkeep. The role offers opportunities for growth within our expanding care network.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a maintenance role.
• Good DIY skills to ensure safety of service users.
• Regular checks and maintenance experience.
• Repair and maintenance of buildings.
• Liaising with a manager and reporting faults.
• On-call rota for emergency maintenance.
• Coordinating contractors and completing paperwork and tool checks.

Responsibilities

• Ensure services, buildings, facilities and equipment are maintained and fit for purpose.
• Conduct regular checks and safety inspections.
• Assist with on-site repairs and upkeep of all buildings.
• Liaise with contractors and monitor on-site work.
• Report faults and defects to the manager promptly.
• Participate in on-call rota for emergencies.
• Complete paperwork and tool checks as required.
