Elysiuм Healthcare is seeking a Maintenance Assistant at Emerald Place Clinic in Charlwood to ensure a safe, well-presented environment. The role covers maintenance, gardening, and liaising with contractors to support the upkeep of the service.

You will join an established team and receive training, with opportunities for career development and access to wellbeing and financial benefits. The role is full-time, 37.5 hours, Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm.

Responsibilities

• Report faults to manager and defects.
• Participate in on-call rota for emergency maintenance.
• Coordinate with contractors and complete paperwork and tool checks.

Join Emerald Place Clinic in Surrey as a Maintenance Assistant where you will be part of creating a well- presented and safe environment for some of the most vulnerable people in society.

As a Maintenance Assistant, you will be responsible for ensuring the services facilities are fit for purpose, gardening and will regularly conduct audits to identify and repair any faults ensuring a safe environment for service users, staff and visitors.

Working alongside an established team, you will turn your hand to all maintenance-related tasks, liaising with contractors to support the upkeep of the service.

You’ll receive all necessary training to get you started and join the dedicated team, where you can make a positive difference and be part of changing lives for the better. This role is a full time position of 37.5 hours a week. Monday-Friday. 9am-5pm.

As a Maintenance Assistant You Will Have

• Assisting with ensuring that the service, buildings, facilities and equipment requirements are maintained and fit for purpose.
• Utilising good DIY skills to ensure safety of service users is maintained.
• Assisting in regular checks and maintenance.
• Assisting in the repair and maintenance of all buildings.
• Assisting in all decorating.
• Liaising with a manager reporting all faults and defects.
• Participating in a 1 week retaining on-call rota for the purposes of emergency maintenance.
• Coordinating and supporting contractors whilst on site and completing of all paperwork and tool checks.

To Be Successful In This Role, You Will

• To comply with system and procedures.
• Have previous experience within a maintenance role.
• To work effectively as part of a team and independently.
• Show courtesy and respect to residents at all times to ensure that they enjoy the highest quality of service.
• Attend and participate in training sessions and staff meetings.
• Have a full UK driving license.

Where You Will Be Working

Location: Emerald Place Clinic, Farmfield Drive, Charlwood, Horley, RH6 0BN

Emerald Place Clinic is a general adolescent inpatient unit for the care and treatment of young people aged 13 up to the age of 18. Young people who are admitted to the unit will have a primary diagnosis of mental illness across a wide range of disorders and complex needs.

These could include mental health conditions such as mood disorders and acute psychosis. Additionally young people may have co-existing additional needs such as neurodevelopmental disorders, including mild learning disabilities or autism. A young person could also be admitted if they have disordered eating.
