Elysium Healthcare seeks a Maintenance Assistant in Barnsley to help keep our services safe, clean and well presented for vulnerable adults. You will maintain buildings, facilities and equipment and work with contractors to support upkeep, ensuring a safe environment for residents, staff and visitors.

Qualifications

Have previous experience within a maintenance role.
To work effectively as part of a team and independently.
Show courtesy and respect to residents at all times to ensure that they enjoy the highest quality of service.
Attend and participate in training sessions and staff meetings.

Responsibilities

Maintain service buildings, facilities and equipment to be fit for purpose.
Use DIY skills to ensure safety of service users.
Assist in regular checks and maintenance.
Assist in the repair and maintenance of all buildings.
Liaise with a manager reporting all faults and defects.
Ro on-call rota for emergency maintenance.
Coordinate contractors and complete paperwork and tool checks.
