Job summary

Chesterfield Royal Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Linen Assistant to join the DSFS Linen Team. This role handles both sterile and non-sterile linen and curtain provision, with duties including administration tasks and physical lifting.

Training will be provided, and flexibility is required to meet service needs. The post is a 12-month fixed-term contract, part-time (28 hours/week) with shifts including Monday and Friday mornings and midweek hours.

Qualifications

• GCSEs or equivalent, including Maths and English.
• Manual handling training.
• Service industry experience.
• Knowledge of the hospital.

Responsibilities

• Deliver linen provisions to the Trust via cages and stock cupboards at ward level and in clinics.
• Take receipt of deliveries from external suppliers for linen and sterile items.
• Carry out general duties including stock control, data collection and liaising with suppliers.
