East Suffolk & North Essex NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Materials Management Inventory Controller to manage the day-to-day operations of the Inventory Management System at Colchester Hospital. You will focus on theatres and interventional environments, ensuring accurate receipting, stock rotation, and efficient stock handling.

You will liaise with theatres teams and clinical staff, maintain reporting accuracy, and support the wider Materials Management Team in a fast-paced NHS setting while

Qualifications

• Experience with inventory management of implants and high-cost medical devices.
• Knowledge of stock control and expiry management.
• Ability to handle IT procurement and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Manage the flow of goods into theatres and interventional environments.
• Provide inventory management support to theatres teams using the IMS.
• Accurate receipting and transfer of goods within the IMS.
• Effective stock rotation to prevent expiry.
• Manage stock levels across different areas to optimise stock use.
• Keep store rooms tidy and accessible for stock location.
• Assist theatres stores with tracing movements of stocks.
• Monitor ordering and receipting flow from IMS to the P2P system.
• Develop knowledge of NHSSC ordering systems and processes.
• Provide support to the Materials Management Team across admin and support duties.
