Job summary

County Durham and Darlington NHS Foundation Trust's Estates Department is seeking an organised Stores Person to manage stock, receive deliveries and maintain accurate records for Darlington Memorial Hospital.

You will support engineering and maintenance teams, maintain COSHH data, assist with meter readings and calibration, and work with staff to ensure a reliable service in a busy healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• Experience working within healthcare settings.
• Ability to manage stock control and keep accurate records.
• Proactive in coordinating with maintenance teams.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate stock control records and ensure sufficient levels for Estates operations.
• Requisition stock and non-stock items using the Cardea system.
• Receive, check and receip deliveries, ensuring goods match PO and are undamaged.
• Safely store goods and control out-of-hours access.
• Maintain filing for delivery notes, maintenance reports and COSHH records.
• Support calibration and certification processes, meter readings and related data.
• Collaborate with Estates engineers and contractors to deliver a responsive service.
