Job summary

Sodexo Group at Wythenshawe Hospital is seeking an HVAC and BMS Engineer to maintain building management and engineering systems. You will diagnose faults and ensure boiler controls, AHUs, chillers and heating/DHW operate efficiently.

NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering and Plumbing is required, and a driving licence is desirable. The role is 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with on-site duties at Wythenshawe Hospital.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical, HVAC and Mechanical Engineering.
• Willing to learn and take courses to add to current qualifications.
• Experience in healthcare or large, complex sites is an advantage.
• Proven experience in a mechanical, HVAC and Electrical environment.
• Good working knowledge of health and safety regulations.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor BEMS and HVAC systems to ensure efficient operation.
• Respond to reactive maintenance issues, alarms, faults and provide diagnostics.
• Record system checks, observations, faults and changes accurately.
• Work on installed building services systems and participate in knowledge sharing.
• Participate in on-call rotas and emergency maintenance across sites.
• Assist in planning small projects with specifications, quotations and orders.
• Maintain safety and permit to work procedures at all times.
• Provide technical support and fault resolution for HVAC and building services.
