Job summary

Hampshire and Isle of Wight Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a motivated Domestic Assistant to join the team at St Marys Community Hospital in Portsmouth, with potential to work at other Portsmouth sites.

You will support cleaning across inpatient wards, ensuring a clean, safe and welcoming environment. Hours available from 15 to 25 per week, with early shifts from 06:00 to 13:00; flexible patterns discussed at interview. Applicants must have the right to work in the UK.

Qualifications

• NVQ2 in housekeeping or Level 2 apprenticeship or demonstrable skills to this level.
• Basic IT skills.
• Basic Maths and English.
• Preferred vocational qualification in cleaning or facilities management (NVQ 2/3 or similar).
• Right to work in the UK (visa status).

Responsibilities

• Assist in achieving and maintaining a clean hospital environment according to guidelines.
• Maintain overall hospital environment to support medical care and patient experience.
