Hampshire and Isle of Wight Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is hiring a Housekeeper to join our team at The Western Community Hospital in Southampton. We welcome applicants with experience in hospitality, nursing homes, or hospitals who can help maintain a clean, safe environment for patients and staff.

Roles vary from 15 to 37.5 hours per week with shifts between 07:00 and 17:00; flexible patterns discussed at interview.

Qualifications

• NVQ2 in housekeeping, or a Level 2 apprenticeship, or demonstrable skills to this level with a willingness to undertake an apprenticeship at level 2
• Basic IT skills or IT qualification
• Basic Maths and English
• A relevant vocational qualification in cleaning or facilities management is preferred (e.g, NVQ Level 2/3 in cleaning and support Services or similar qualification.)

Responsabilités

• To assist in achieving and maintaining a clean hospital environment in accordance with the standards laid down in the Cleaner Hospitals and Infection Control guidelines.
• To maintain the hospital environment as a whole, not just any area specified to work on as per rota, so that it supports the medical care and health improvement of all patients on site.
