Job summary

Lakefield Neurological Centre in Chigwell is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to help keep the service, buildings and equipment well‑presented and safe. You will support gardening tasks, perform regular maintenance checks, and coordinate with contractors to ensure a safe environment for residents, staff and visitors.

You will join an established team, receive training, and have access to career development opportunities within Elysium Healthcare.

Qualifications

• Have previous experience within a maintenance role.
• Work effectively as part of a team and independently.
• Attend and participate in training sessions and staff meetings.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the service, buildings, facilities and equipment are maintained and fit for purpose.
• Carry out gardening and related upkeep to maintain safety and presentation.
• Regularly checks and audits to identify faults and repair them.
• Liaise with contractors to support upkeep of the service.
• Assist in decorating and general maintenance tasks.
