Elysium Healthcare is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper for Thornford Park Hospital in Thatcham. You will maintain cleanliness across wards, offices, bedrooms and visitor areas, contributing to a safe and welcoming environment for service users and staff.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining required security standards of the hospital by following relevant policies and procedures as defined by the Hospital
• An active member of the team with a range of responsibility over the day-to-day operation
• Maintaining excellent telephone etiquette and ability to meet and greeting visitors in a professional manner
• Establishing and maintaining good working relationships with all staff, visitors and service users
• Helping create a positive culture
• Undertaking any other tasks requested that are appropriate for the post
• Attending mandatory and statutory training on an annual basis as required by Elysium Healthcare

If you have an eye for detail and enjoy creating a safe and clean environment for some of the most vulnerable people in society, then join the team at Thornford Park Hospital as a Housekeeper.

You will be an integral part of the housekeeping team at a service for men and woman with Mental Health conditions, where you will be responsible for cleaning all areas of the service, including wards, office spaces, bedrooms and visitors area.

Working closely with the maintenance team you’ll ensure all areas of the service are spotless and be able to confidently deliver high standard cleaning services.

You’ll receive all necessary training to get you started and join the dedicated team, where you can make a positive difference and be part of changing lives for the better. As a Housekeeper you will be:

Thornford Park is a 141 bed hospital set within 21 acres of Berkshire countryside, offering a seamless care pathway across medium and low secure services, psychiatric intensive care units (PICUs), and rehabilitation flats. The site supports men and women with complex Mental Health needs, Personality Disorders, Learning Disabilities, and Autism—often with histories of offending or previous placement challenges.
