Job summary

County Durham and Darlington NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a plumber to join the Estates Team at Darlington Memorial Hospital. The role covers planned preventative maintenance, reactive repairs, and minor installations across Trust premises, including occupied wards and patient areas, with out-of-hours and bank hours.

You will work to HTMs and NHS Estates guidance, liaising with staff and contractors, and recording works on the estates helpdesk.

Qualifications

• City & Guilds Plumbing Craft Certificate or equivalent.
• Proven plumbing maintenance experience.
• Experience of installation, repair and fault finding on plumbing and drainage systems.
• Good customer service experience.

Responsibilities

• Planned preventative and reactive maintenance of plumbing systems and equipment.
• Fault finding, repair and installation of sanitary ware, water services, drainage and pipework.
• Clearing drainage blockages and routine inspections.
• Responding to breakdowns and out-of-hours maintenance.
