Job summary

Circle Health Group is seeking an Engineering Technician to join the Engineering department at Chelsfield Park Hospital. This full-time role offers 37.5 hours per week with a flexible shift pattern and a salary up to £41,500 per year, depending on experience, training and qualifications.

You will carry out planned and reactive maintenance, support sub-contract work orders, and provide technical, health, safety and environmental support.

Qualifications

• Current CSCS Card at appropriate level (electrically qualified ECS Card if applicable).
• City & Guilds Part 3, ONC, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Willingness to act as AP and RP Medgas as required.
• Time served apprenticeship in a Mechanical or Electrical biased discipline.
• Understand Health and Safety guidelines, ACOPs and Legionella L8 requirements.
• Demonstrated organisation and time management in multi-priority environment.
• Sound fault finding techniques and ability to read drawings.

Responsibilities

• To ensure prompt completion of all work orders for planned maintenance, reactive response, specialist sub-contract and remedial work orders.
• Provide routine and specialised engineering maintenance and breakdown support to a hospital site.
• Provide technical, health, safety and environmental support and act as exemplar of company policies.
• Provide training, mentoring and hands-on assistance to Site Technicians or Engineering Assistants.
• Provide Engineering support and advice to Local Hospital managers.
• Demonstrate a can-do culture with exemplary engineering standards in an open, honest environment.
• Help build and develop a strong team ethos and ensure completion of mandatory training.
