Job summary

East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust (ESNEFT) is seeking a Multi-Skilled Electrical Technician for Colchester General Hospital. The role is Band 5 with full-time hours (37.5 pw) and a salary of £32,073–£39,043 per year.

You will service, repair and install plant and electrical systems, participate in on-call rotas and contribute to hospital maintenance across Trust properties. A recognised apprenticeship and HTM qualifications are required, with on-site duties across multiple shifts.

Qualifications

• Completed a recognised trade apprenticeship with BTEC/HNC/City & Guilds Level 3 qualifications.
• Accredited HTM authorised person course.
• Infection Control Awareness Training.

Responsibilities

• Identify, procure and replace defective parts for major engineering plant up to £2k.
• Apply a multi-skilled approach across trades and work safely and legally.
• Perform full range of maintenance including non-routine, planned, corrective and breakdown tasks.
