Job summary

Equans is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join the MMUH project in Smethwick. The role is full-time, 40 hours per week, based on site at Midland Metropolitan University Hospital.

You will handle reactive electrical and mechanical maintenance, respond to BMS alerts, and ensure proper handover and documentation for service continuity. Desired background includes City & Guilds levels 2/3 AM 218th Edition and prior healthcare maintenance experience.

Qualifications

• DBS standard check required and essential.
• Experience in healthcare maintenance is desirable.
• Maintenance background with a healthcare setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Respond to reactive jobs with diagnostic, fault finding and repair of complex mechanical/electrical systems.
• Respond to BMS alerts and calls during nightshift as first point of contact.
• Assess issues, assign tasks, and complete documentation.
• Handover records to Helpdesk at shift start to ensure continuity of service.
• Obtain Competent Person status for LV systems, access control, alarms, and medical gas installs.
• Undertake Authorised Person role after training.
• Work on emergency lighting, nurse calls, general electrics, and fire alarms.
