QE Facilities is seeking a Domestic Assistant to join the Gateshead NHS site. The role involves cleaning patient environments, supporting meal service and maintaining hygiene standards across designated areas. Shifts include evenings and weekends on a rotational pattern, with a total of 40 hours per week.

The post is a permanent contract with a pro rata salary of £25,272 per year. Applicants should be reliable, flexible and capable of working with nursing staff to ensure a clean and safe patient

Qualifications

• Experience in healthcare/domestic services preferred.
• Knowledge of infection prevention and safe working practices.

Responsabilités

• Clean patient environments to defined standards, including floors, glass and fixtures.
• Assist with food and beverage service in patient areas as needed.
• Organise waste/clinical waste following procedures.
• Replenish cleaning materials and linen as required.
• Support service needs during bank holidays and weekends.
