Job summary

Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust is seeking Catering Assistants for Wexham Park Hospital to provide a professional, patient‑focused catering service to patients, staff and visitors. You will work as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment, support chefs, and perform kitchen porter duties while maintaining cleanliness and food hygiene standards.

Role involves interacting with many people daily, serving meals, assisting in food preparation, and handling cash in retail areas.

Qualifications

• GCSE or equivalent qualification.
• Level 2 Food Safety Certificate.
• Previous catering experience.
• Foundation Certificate in Food Hygiene (desirable).
• Team player (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Serve food and drinks in patient/staff dining outlets and on the patient meal assembly.
• Assist in food preparation, portion control and packaging.
• Deliver meal trolleys to wards and departments; collect and return trolleys.
• Operate cash registers in retail areas and handle cash securely.
• Maintain high standards of hygiene and comply with HACCP procedures.
