Job summary

FHFT Education Academy at Wexham Park Hospital in Slough, Berkshire, is recruiting Catering Assistants to provide a professional, customer-focused catering service for patients, staff and visitors. The role involves serving in outlets, assisting in food preparation, and supporting wards with meals.

You will work 37.5 hours across 5 days in7, with training provided and opportunities to develop within a supportive NHS Foundation Trust environment.

Qualifications

• GCSE or equivalent.
• Level 2 Food Safety Certificate.
• Previous catering experience.
• Foundation Certificate in Food Hygiene or Good knowledge of Food safety and Kitchen hygiene.
• Team player.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food service areas and equipment (e.g. placing equipment ready for use).
• Serve food and drinks in patient/staff dining outlets and on the patient meal assembly.
• Ensure a full supply of crockery and cutlery to the restaurant during service hours.
• Deliver and collect meal trolleys to/from wards and departments.
• Deliver catering supplies to wards and departments including call orders.
• Menu collation, picking of ward food according to menu choice and record information.
