Job summary

Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust in Farnham is recruiting a Catering Assistant to join our hospital catering team, delivering a professional, patient- and staff-focused food service.

The role includes serving meals, assisting with food preparation, delivering to wards, cashier duties, and supporting service development. Training will be provided; prior catering experience is desirable but not essential. Flexibility and a strong hygiene ethos are required.

Qualifications

• Catering experience is desirable, with a food safety certificate preferred but not essential.
• Adherence to food hygiene regulations and Trust values.
• Maths and English assessment as part of recruitment.
• Right to work in the UK for the full duration; visa sponsorship not offered.

Responsibilities

• Serve food and drinks in patient or staff dining outlets.
• Assist in food preparation and portion control.
• Deliver and collect meal trolleys to wards and departments.
• Undertake cashier duties and support continued development of the department.
• Assist the Supervisor to improve standards and income generation.
• Ensure menu content knowledge and maintain privacy and dignity of visitors, staff and patients.
