Job summary

The NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a part-time catering assistant at Hallam Street Hospital to support in-patient meal service and hospital restaurant operations.

You will handle cash, follow HACCP and COSHH procedures, and maintain high food hygiene standards while working 15 hours a week. Experience in mental health or learning disabilities is desirable; Level 2 Food Hygiene qualification is essential with induction training provided.

Qualifications

• Level 2 Food Hygiene qualification required.
• NVQ 1 in Food Preparation or equivalent.
• Good basic education with reading, writing and numeracy.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve in-patient meals and beverages.
• Work in hospital restaurant for patients, staff, and visitors.
• Handle cash transactions.
• Carry out cleaning tasks to schedule.
• Complete HACCP paperwork.
• Follow COSHH and HACCP procedures.
• Adhere to CQC and catering standards.
• Lift and move products.
• Work in cold conditions wearing PPE.
