Job summary

EQUANS is seeking a Multiskilled Fabric Technician to join the Tameside Hospital maintenance team on a permanent, full-time basis. Based at Tameside Hospital, you will deliver building fabric and joinery maintenance, supervise colleagues on site, and ensure planned and reactive works meet service level agreements.

You will diagnose faults, install and maintain plant and fixtures, coordinate with subcontractors, manage materials, and support lifecycle projects while upholding health and safety

Qualifications

• Approved formal apprenticeship in Joinery.
• Sound knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and safe systems of work.
• Experience delivering building fabric repairs and maintenance, including joinery works.
• Experience in PPM and reactive maintenance within healthcare or similar environment.
• Experience with fire safety strategies and fire door inspections.

Responsibilities

• Maintain building fabric and joinery across Tameside Hospital.
• Plan, prioritise and deliver work to customer specifications and service agreements.
• Diagnose faults, fault-find, and commission systems under a PPM programme.
• Install, commission and maintain plant, equipment and assets.
• Assist with lifecycle and major project schemes and pricing.
• Source/purchase replacement materials to maintain stock levels.
• Support other technicians to complete PPMs and reactive works.
• Complete relevant paperwork and maintain documentation.
