Job summary

St Peter & St James Hospice in Lewes, East Sussex, is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse to deliver high-quality palliative and end-of-life care across inpatient, community and hospice services. You will assess, plan, implement and evaluate care with the multidisciplinary team, supporting patients and those important to them through challenging times.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with current NMC registration and CPD demonstrated.
• Knowledge of palliative and end-of-life care.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and prioritise workload.
• Experience working under pressure and leading teams.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality palliative and end-of-life care through assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care.
• Administer prescribed medications and provide symptom management.
• Lead shifts within the Inpatient Unit and supervise staff.
• Maintain accurate, confidential patient records in line with NMC standards.
• Collaborate with GPs and community teams to deliver coordinated care.
• Support patients and families and act as advocate.
