Job summary

St Peter & St James Hospice in Lewes is seeking a Bank Healthcare Assistant to support our nursing team in palliative care. You will assist with individualised care, comfort patients and families, and uphold dignity and respect on every shift.

We value kindness, empathy and teamwork. The role includes varied shifts, including nights and weekends, and requires own transport for commutes to BN8 4ED. We provide full training and supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in a care setting is advantageous but not essential; full training provided.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to work varied shifts, including nights and weekends; own transport essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist Registered Nurses in delivering individualised palliative care
• Provide high-quality, compassionate support to patients and their families
• Ensure dignity, respect, and sensitivity in all aspects of care
