Job summary

Naomi House & Jacksplace is seeking an experienced Housekeeping Supervisor to lead the housekeeping service at Sutton Scotney, coordinating staff rotas and ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and safety for children, families and staff.

The role supervises day, evening and weekend shifts, supports the team, and collaborates with Care to ready family accommodation for admissions and discharges. Salary £28,520.70 per year.

Qualifications

• Experience in housekeeping supervisory roles or similar.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• High level of attention to detail and standards of cleanliness.
• Ability to prioritise workloads and adapt to changing demands.
• Positive, supportive leadership style with a passion for maintaining high standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the housekeeping team across day, evening, and weekend shifts.
• Manage team rotas, annual leave, and sickness cover to ensure effective service delivery seven days a week.
• Monitor cleanliness standards and carry out weekly and monthly checks and audits.
• Work with Care teams to prepare family accommodation and bedrooms for admissions and discharges.
• Oversee stock levels of housekeeping, medical supplies, and equipment, coordinating orders.
• Provide induction, training, coaching, and ongoing support to housekeeping colleagues.
• Conduct performance reviews and support development of a flexible, multi-skilled team.
• Escalate concerns regarding standards or performance to the Facilities Manager.
• Help maintain infection prevention and cleanliness standards across sites.
