Job summary

Willowbrook Hospice in Liverpool is seeking a Facilities Supervisor to coordinate and manage the Facilities and Gardening teams across the Hospice estate. You will ensure a safe, well-maintained environment for patients, visitors, staff and volunteers, while delivering projects on time and within budget.

Position requires line management of facilities staff, strong collaboration with contractors and stakeholders, and ongoing reporting to the Head of Estates.

Qualifications

• Experience in facilities management within health or public sector environments.
• Ability to lead and develop facilities and gardening teams.
• Strong budgeting, procurement and contractor management capabilities.
• Knowledge of health & safety, fire safety and regulatory compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day facilities operations across the Hospice estate.
• Coordinate planning and reactive works, manage minor improvement projects.
• Provide line management to facilities team and volunteers; performance oversight.
• Maintain staffing records and support payroll inputs; ensure training compliance.
• Monitor budgets, procurement, supplier invoices; ensure value for money.
• Lead end-to-end delivery of maintenance, refurbishment, and improvement projects.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, COSHH, LOLER, PUWER, Legionella, asbestos and CQC standards.
• Produce regular reports on performance, compliance and risks.
• Support recruitment, induction and development of staff and volunteers.
