Job summary

Willowbrook Hospice is seeking a part-time Facilities Assistant to deliver professional facilities, compliance and maintenance across the Hospice estate and retail outlets.

Reporting to the Facilities Supervisor, you will carry out planned and reactive tasks, ensure security and safety, maintain records, support grounds and stores, and work a rota that covers seven days between 7:00am and 10:00pm, including weekends and bank holidays.

Responsibilities

• Support the Facilities Supervisor in maintaining compliance, safety, functionality, and presentation of all Hospice and retail premises.
• Complete planned and reactive maintenance tasks, recording all actions and outcomes within the maintenance management system.
• Ensure Hospice and retail premises are opened, secured, locked, and alarmed as required, maintaining safety and operational readiness.
• Carry out routine compliance checks and inspections, ensuring adherence to statutory requirements and regulatory standards (CQC, HSE, and others).
• Work in accordance with Health & Safety, Fire Safety, COSHH, LOLER, PUWER, and Legionella requirements.
• Maintain accurate maintenance, compliance, and inspection records.
