Job summary

The Rotherham Hospice is seeking Healthcare Support Workers to deliver high‑quality, person‑centred care for patients with life‑limiting illnesses under the direction of the Head of Service. You will support comfort, dignity and wellbeing.

Responsibilities include helping with personal care, mobility, nutrition and daily living activities; maintaining a safe environment; and documenting observations. A healthcare or social care background and NVQ level 2 or 3 are desirable.

Qualifications

• Healthcare or social care background preferred.
• NVQ Level 2/3 in Health and Social Care desirable.
• Willingness to work in a hospice setting and provide compassionate care.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centred care to patients and their families.
• Assist with personal care tasks, mobility, and daily living activities.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and document observations accurately.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic care.
• Support volunteers and participate in team meetings and care planning.
