Job summary

Steam & Moorland Garden Centre in the United Kingdom is seeking a mechanically minded technician to install and maintain Robotic mowers and service our range of horticultural equipment. You will work with Husqvarna Automowers and a team of technicians, with training provided.

Horticultural Machinery / Robotic Lawnmower Technician

We arelooking for a mechanically minded person to work with our existing team of technicians, installing and maintaining Robotic mowers and servicing our range of horticultural equipment. You will be working with a range of machinery, with an emphasis on Husqvarna Automowers. This is an opportunity to use your existing skills while improving your knowledge of new technology particularly around wired and GPS driven robotic mowers. If you are a good problem solver with an analytical mind, this is the role for you.

You would be working with our team of technicians and your duties would include:

• Providing advice to Customer in the shop
• Planning for and installing robotic mowers
• Servicing, maintaining and repairing mowers in the workshop
• Completing electronic job cards

During the Spring and Summer you will be predominantly advising on and installing Robotic Mowers in beautiful gardens as well as repairing all types of garden and forestry equipment.The Winter is given over to working with our team on repairs and maintenance in the workshop.

This position would ideally suit someone who is interested in working with machinery and also enjoys the variety of working in the outdoors during the spring and summer months. You do NOT need to be a qualified mechanic for this role; good communication skills and an ability to solve problems is just as important. Full training on Automatic mowers will be given and and you will be supported in developing your skills to enable you to pick up other aspects of the role.

We are ideally looking for someone who is available five days a week but we would consider an applicant who can work 3/4 days a week.
