Job summary

William Strike Ltd is seeking a Horticultural Assistant for our Garforth Garden Centre. This part-time, permanent role requires 23.25 hours per week across 3 days, with weekend shifts.

• Plant stock replenishment and merchandising to create plant displays.

• Assist customers with carrying purchases to cars.
• Contribute to a strong team and maintain a high service level.
• Display flexibility with shifts, including weekends.

Job description

We are looking for a Part Time Permanent Horticultural Assistant to join the team in our Garforth Garden Centre.

Our competitive rates of pay range from £10.40 to £12.75 per hour dependent on age.

The hours for this position are 23.25 per week over 3 days including regular weekend shifts so flexibility is a must.

Role

As a Horticultural Assistant, you must have specialist plant knowledge and be able provide excellent customer service & to create an exceptional shopping experience for our customers helping them to make informed purchases

What you will be doing as a Horticultural Assistant?

• Plant stock replenishment and merchandising to create fabulous plant displays
• Look after and care for our plants ensuring they are always healthy and looking great for our customers
• Advising our customers on suitable plants and products for their needs, taking every opportunity to WOW.
• Till operation and serving customers
• Carry out cleaning and housekeeping tasks as needed
• Assisting customers with carrying purchases to their cars
• Friendly, with an engaging personality and a genuine love for customer service.
• Knowledgeable and passionate about plants and plant replated products
• Strong customer service skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Great teamwork.
• Hardworking
• Shift flexibility including weekends.
• The ability to work well and efficiently under pressure.
