Job summary

Klondyke in Northallerton is seeking a Full Time Permanent Horticultural Assistant at Strikes Garden Centre. The role offers 38 hours per week over 5 days with regular weekend shifts and pay £10.40–£12.75 per hour, depending on age, with great staff discounts and annual leave.

You will replenish plant stocks, create displays, advise customers on plants and products, handle tills, and help with housekeeping and carrying purchases to cars.

We are looking for a Full Time Permanent Horticultural Assistant to join the team in our Strikes Garden Centre.

Our competitive rates of pay range from £10.40 to £12.75 per hour dependent on age.

The hours for this position are 38per week over 5days including regular weekend shifts so flexibility is a must.

The Role

As a Horticultural Assistant, you must havespecialist plant knowledge and be able provide excellent customer service & to createan exceptional shopping experience for our customers helping them to make informed purchases

What you will be doing as a Horticultural Assistant?

• Plant stock replenishment and merchandising to create fabulous plant displays
• Look after and care for our plants ensuring they are always healthy and looking great for our customers
• Advising our customers on suitable plants and products for their needs, taking every opportunity to WOW.
• Till operation and serving customers
• Carry out cleaning and housekeeping tasks as needed
• Assisting customers with carrying purchases to their cars
• Collecting trolleys and shopping baskets
