Waltham Forest Council is seeking a Homeownership Officer for an initial temporary contract with potential extension or permanent placement for the right candidate. Based at E17 4JF, typically in-office on Tuesdays with the remainder working from home.

You will provide information and guidance on service charges, major works, leases, and related legislation to leaseholders and shared owners, supporting housing staff. S20 consultations are essential.

Competenze

• Must have leasehold management experience.
• S20 consultation experience is essential.
• Working knowledge of Excel basic functions required (XLOOKUP, SUMIF, Mail Merge).

Good Afternoon,

I am currently representing Waltham Forest Council who are offering an initial temporary contract for a period of 3- 6 months with a view to be extended or offered a permanent position for the right candidate at a rate which is negotiable dependent upon experience

We are looking for a Homeownership Officer this role will be based at: E17 4JF, Usually Tuesdays in the office with the rest WFH.

The right candidate will:

Provide information, support and guidance in relation to service charges, major works, the lease and associated legislation to leaseholders, shared owners and other housing staff. Whilst dealing with enquiries and disputes with regards to service charges and major works.

Assist collection officers to maximise the recovery of homeowner rents, service charges/major works and other related income to maintain the viability of the Housing Revenue Account (HRA).

Undertake consultations under section 20 of the Landlord and Tenants Act 1985 (as amended) ensuring compliance with the leases and associated legislation

We require the following:

• Must have leasehold Management experience and S20 consultation experience is essential
• Must demonstrate working knowledge of Excel Basic Functions (X look up and Sumif and Mail Merge Management via word
