Job summary

Park Avenue Recruitment is seeking a Homelessness Triage Officer for a Local Authority in Warwickshire. The role is frontline, focusing on initial housing assessments, homelessness prevention and triage, not ongoing caseloads. You will be the first point of contact, complete assessments, provide prevention advice, signpost services and refer cases to teams. 6-month contract, £26-£28 per hour, 1 day per week in-office; remote work possible for strong candidates.

Qualifications

• Front-line experience in homelessness or housing options is preferred.
• Experience conducting initial housing assessments and triage.
• Ability to signpost customers to housing, welfare and support services.

Responsibilities

• Act as the first point of contact for customers facing homelessness.
• Complete initial housing and homelessness assessments.
• Provide advice around prevention and early intervention.
• Create homelessness applications and refer cases to relevant teams.
• Signpost customers to housing, welfare and support services.
• Identify safeguarding concerns and maintain case records.
