About The Role
The Housing Needs service is seeking a Homelessness Services Manager in a new role to lead the Council's homelessness teams to deliver on ambitious plans following a reorganisation of the service.
The role will be responsible for the management of a number of distinct teams comprising the:
These teams are key to delivering the council's aim to prevent and relieve homelessness to an increasing number of residents requiring the provision of practical advice and assistance. Set against a backdrop of burgeoning financial pressures on the Council, the successful candidate will play a significant role in preventing homelessness at the earliest possible juncture and containing, with a view to reducing expenditure on costs related to the provision of temporary accommodation. The post holder will also be responsible for the performance, well-being and resilience of each team to deliver on local and Corporate targets so that we may deliver an excellent service to our residents.
