Job summary

Vivid Resourcing Ltd in the West Midlands is assisting a Local Authority client to recruit a homelessness officer for the Housing Options service. You will interview and advise homeless individuals, explain housing options, rights and responsibilities, and support them under housing legislation.

The role requires knowledge of the Housing Act, experience with housing options, and using the Locata system to refer clients to suitable options.

Qualifications

• Experience working with homelessness and housing options services.
• Knowledge of the Housing Act and related duties.
• Strong customer-focused approach and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Interview and advise homeless people about housing opportunities.
• Provide advice on rights and responsibilities.
• Refer clients to suitable housing options promptly.
• Assist with long-term solutions and maintain good customer relations.
