Job summary

Specsavers is expanding its Home Visits Optical Delivery team. As an optical assistant, you will drive a company car to patients' homes, delivering care and aftercare when stores are not accessible.

You’ll support vulnerable patients and help them with basic tasks, bringing professional optical care directly to the heart of the community. Based from Barry with coverage across Swansea, Bridgend, Barry and occasional Cardiff, you’ll join a dedicated team with strong training and development

Qualifications

• Previous optical experience.
• Must have a full UK driving licence.
• Experience in fast-paced customer-facing environment.
• Experience in optics.
• Be confident using new systems as well as tablet and/or laptop.

Responsibilities

• Provide optical aftercare at patients' homes.
• Support patients with basic tasks and care.
• Deliver services from Specsavers to community.
• Travel to homes in Barry, Swansea, Bridgend and Cardiff as required.

Home Visits Optical Delivery

Ready to take your skills on the road? As a home visits optical assistant at Specsavers, you can do just that.

You'll be driving our services to the doorsteps of the nation, providing aftercare to the people who aren't able to come into our stores. But not only do you help them with their sight, you'll be able to support them to get basic tasks done that they wouldn't be able to do without you. Essentially, you'll be bringing smiles and clinical care to the heart of your community.

Our business

The office team are based in the lovely offices in Barry, but you'll cover Swansea, Bridgend, Barry and on occassion Cardiff, depending on your location. You will be providing care to vulnerable patients.

We have a wonderful existing team of dedicated people from optical and administrative backgrounds, who ready and waiting for you to meet.

Our cars

You'll be provided with a company car which is fully expensed that you will use to bring your care and services directly to people's homes.

What we’re looking for?

If this is still sounding like a bit of you, we do need you to have a few skills to get started as a home visits optical assistant.These include:

• Previous optical experience
• Must have a full UK driving license

• Previous experience in a fast-paced customer facing environment
• Experience in optics
• Basic knowledge/experience of optical
• Be confident using new systems as well as tablet and / or laptop
