Specsavers is seeking a Home Visits Optical Assistant to deliver eye care directly to patients in their homes across our regional territory. You will dispense lenses at all levels and support vulnerable patients with compassionate, personalised service.

The role requires a full UK driving licence and the ability to travel to varied locations, providing clinical care and customer service in community settings. Flexible hours and part-time arrangements are available.

Are you ready to take your skills on the road? As a Home Visits Optical Assistant at Specsavers, you can do just that.

You’ll be driving our services to the doorsteps of the nation, providing eye care to the people who are unable to come into our stores. Not only do you help them with their sight, you’ll also be bringing smiles and clinical care into the heart of your community.

The job is varied: you’ll work in a range of locations and testing environments every day – no two days are the same. Our region covers Herefordshire, Gloucestershire, Swindon and Wiltshire, Bath, Northeast Somerset, Bristol, and a small portion of Wales (Chepstow and Monmouth).

To meet the needs of our business, our preferred candidate will be based in South Bristol/Weston-Super-Mare.

With more 1-on-1 time spent with patients in the place where they feel comfortable, you can really cater to their needs and make a real difference in their lives.

We’re looking for someone driven and approachable; a real people person.

You’ll need to be able to confidently dispense at all levels and hold a full UK driving licence – which are essential criteria for this role.

What’s on offer?

• Part-time: 24 hours per week working Wednesday, Thursday & Friday 8.30am-5.30pm (flexibility required)

What we’re looking for?

If this is still sounding like a bit of you, we do need you to have a few skills to get started as a Home Visits Optical Assistant. These include:

• Current or recent optical experience (at least 6 months-1 year) and you must be able to confidently dispense at all levels
• You must hold a full UK driving licence
