Job summary

Specsavers is seeking a Home Visits Optical Delivery Assistant to bring clinical care and sight-support directly to patients in their homes. You will provide aftercare and assist with basic tasks, extending service beyond traditional store visits.

Based in Barry with travel to Swansea, Bridgend, Barry and Cardiff as needed, you will receive a fully expensed company car, comprehensive training, and benefits including WeCare support and a birthday day off.

Qualifications

• Must have a full UK driving license.
• Previous optical experience is preferred.
• Experience in a fast-paced customer-facing environment is desirable.
• Be confident using new systems, tablets, and laptops.

Responsibilities

• Deliver optical services and aftercare to patients in their homes.
• Support patients with basic tasks they cannot perform without assistance.
• Use a company car to reach patient homes and coordinate visits.

Ready to take your skills on the road? As a home visits optical assistant at Specsavers, you can do just that.

You'll be driving our services to the doorsteps of the nation, providing aftercare to the people who aren't able to come into our stores. But not only do you help them with their sight, you'll be able to support them to get basic tasks done that they wouldn't be able to do without you. Essentially, you'll be bringing smiles and clinical care to the heart of your community.

Our business

The office team are based in the lovely offices in Barry, but you'll cover Swansea, Bridgend, Barry and on occassion Cardiff, depending on your location. You will be providing care to vulnerable patients.

We have a wonderful existing team of dedicated people from optical and administrative backgrounds, who ready and waiting for you to meet.

Our cars

You'll be provided with a company car which is fully expensed that you will use to bring your care and services directly to people's homes.

What we’re looking for?

If this is still sounding like a bit of you, we do need you to have a few skills to get started as a home visits optical assistant.These include:

• Previous optical experience
• Must have a full UK driving license

• Previous experience in a fast-paced customer facing environment
• Experience in optics
• Basic knowledge/experience of optical
• Be confident using new systems as well as tablet and / or laptop
