This role is vital in supporting residents in Stockport to regain their independence and life skills while providing essential care in their homes. The REaCH service places person centred care at the heart of everything we do, recognising the strengths of the Stockport residents who we support. The role of a Reablement Support Worker is to support people in their own home 365 days a year who are at risk of needing social care or an increased intensity of care to regain functioning, maintain life skills, rebuild their confidence, and promote wellbeing. The role also provides a stepping stone to independence, by supporting people to regain lost skills, learn new skills, and adapt to the challenges that living independently can present.
Are you caring and a good communicator? Are you able to listen and talk to our clients? Do you have a desire to support and help people in the community? Do you have a full UK driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle insured for work purposes? If any of these sound like you, we would like to hear from you. It doesn't matter whether you have previous experience or not; if you want to help people, the role of enhanced support worker / reablement support worker could be for you. You don't need any qualifications or previous work experience to apply for this role, as full training is provided for the right candidates. What's important are your values and your attitude towards working with people who need care and support, as well as commitment to want to work in social care. If you enjoy working as part of a team but are also able to work independently, this may be the job for you!

Applicants to this role must have a valid UK driving licence and access to a car for work purposes. Stockport Council holds a Visa sponsorship licence but this can only be used for certain roles and this campaign does not qualify.
