Job description

Job Opportunity: Family Support Worker (Part-Time)

We are recruiting for a part-time (18.5 hours per week) Family Support Worker to join our safeguarding team at Bolton Council. This is a long-term temporary position, starting as soon as possible.

In this role, you will work alongside Safeguarding Social Workers to deliver high-quality interventions with children and families, supporting positive outcomes. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  1. Supporting family time arrangements
  2. Assisting with home visits
  3. Direct work with children
  4. Developing behaviour management strategies, routines, and boundaries with families
  5. Budgeting support and referring families to available support services

This work involves engaging with families involved in Child in Need, Child Protection, and court proceedings. The role requires some office-based work and the ability to travel to Bolton at short notice.
