Job summary

Milton Keynes City Council is recruiting a Home Ownership Manager to lead the Home Ownership team within Housing Operations. This role delivers leasehold and home ownership services, ensuring compliance with housing legislation and regulatory standards.

You will oversee leasehold management, service charges and Right to Buy processes, while guiding a dedicated team to achieve fair, customer-focused outcomes for residents. A Chartered CIH Level 4 qualification or equivalent experience is required.

Qualifications

• Qualified to Chartered Institute of Housing Level 4 or equivalent knowledge and experience.
• Detailed understanding of housing, landlord and tenant legislation.
• Strong knowledge of leasehold management, service charges and RTB requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead, support and develop the Home Ownership team.
• Oversee leasehold management, Section 20 consultation and major works.
• Manage service charges, income recovery and Right to Buy processes.
• Plan resources to keep the service effective and compliant.
• Provide specialist advice and build relationships with residents and partners.
